BEES DON"T STING UNLESS PROVOKED!!

Honey bees produce beeswax from eight paired glands on the underside of their abdomen.

Honey bees must consume about 17-20 pounds of honey to be able to biochemically produce each pound of beeswax

Bees maintain a temperature of 92-93 degrees Fahrenheit in their central brood nest regardless of whether the outside temperature is 110 or -40 degrees.

Honey bees are entirely herbivorous when they forage for nectar and pollen but can cannibalize their own brood when stressed.

Worker honey bees live for about 4 weeks in the spring or summer but up to 6 weeks during the winter.

The bee can take pollen from 2,000,000 flowers to get one pound of honey
We have classes in the spring, teaches you how to care for bees, how to have bees, how the bees work and how she reproduces and how the Queen interacts with her subjects.
During the summer, at someones request, they can follow me and see how I check my bees and how I watch them. I love to watch the bees work.  I love seeing them hatch and how they collect pollen and honey.
In the fall I will have classes on how to harvest honey and how to winter bees, this course is the same as the others, fun and informative ! :)
